Kenyan artists experience significant barriers.

—As reflected by Philip Kobimbo, Head of Fine Art Department at Buruburu Institute of Fine Arts & Director of Kenya Centre for Art and Design

Expensive costs of art supplies and art education tuition impede rising artists.

Talented artists are denied admission into institutions for not meeting minimum GPA requirements.

—As reflected by Kenyan art students

Art is stigmatized as a hobby with limited career growth and financial stability.

The artists' creativity, passion, and dedication brought light, life, color, and meaning to every aspect of our shared artistic journey—a memorable celebration of artistic expression. The artwork inspired, challenged, and uplifted me to continue mentoring artists despite significant challenges.

Philip Kobimbo, Director of Kenya Centre for Art and Design
